• 1 frozen banana (preferably a very ripe banana, peeled)
  • 1/2 cup low-fat milk (or coconut milk creamer or another dairy alternative)
  • 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Optional: sweetener (to taste)


  • Gather the ingredients
  • Combine the banana and matcha powder in a blender
  • Add the milk (or dairy alternative) along with the vanilla and sweetener, if you like
  • Blend until the mixture is smooth and even, stopping to stir if necessary
  • Add chia seeds & sunflower seeds
